Do the injectors tend to run hot? I have a customer that wants me to put them in, but he's a new driver and I don't want him to have to concentrate on his egt gauge.

Yea no. I like my engine running. This isn't meant to be fast, just capable. And the latter it quite is.

I can't really comment. I've got fuel turned up a bit to help the boost. Overall my EGTs are lower but they raise up faster if that makes sense.

This thing was hilarious. Boosting on the highway on cruise control, no burnoutability, but just kind of driving over the sidewalk, curb, etc was neato.

Yea I mean honestly the truck has been great. It rides great, I can haul 5 people and a massive ton of shit and the trailer and the race-car and still get 12mpg.

My biggest complaint (and it always will be) is the motor.

What's wrong with the engine? I'm completely ignorant in American diesels.

RE: ScottyD's FailBus
It was a fine motor for the day. It's just a bit lacking in power and has some fail designs to it. I have the last iteration of it so it's at least the best of the worst.

It only makes 180 crank hp and 400ftlb. Just doesn't quite have the oomph and can't do any more than that. I run 12-14psi and that's maximum before doing an intercooler/water injection. The issue is that there isn't a good place to put an intercooler or water box.

Haha yea.

Got a new windshield and seal put in.

Got rid of the vacuum pump.

Took off the stupid load bars.

We'll see what MPG it does tomorrow with my friend's lighter trailer. The united rentals trailer is soooooooo heavy.

Don't need it. All it controlled was the waste gate and I replaced that with a mechanical one.
