ideal IC piping?
Ok... so I have to fab...(meaning call Nathan, and have him fab!) a new intercooler pipe.... Only I have a question about sizing. I currently have a Ebay turbo with a 2" outlet, and I'm going into a NPR 2-7/8 intercooler inlet, then out of the intercooler, I step up to 3", and go to a 960 3" throttle body.... My question, is that I currently have a 2.5" intercooler pipe from the turbo to the intercooler, with proper transition elbo, and coupler, but I was thinking about going with a 3" pipe..... so My question is, are there any advantages to slowly stepping the output of the turbo up as it travels through to the throttle body, or is it ok to step the turbo output right up to 3" say with a 90* transition elbow 2" to 3" like this.

I like the way the 3" will look, but not at any sacrifice.
