stalled under acceleration, no power to the main pump side of the system relay but fuse is good. starter turns engine but no fire. no voltage at coil with key on. i am scrolling back a few pages to dig through those wiring charts again...

edit: car is back home. latch is broken off the distributor connector on the wiring harness, cute. zip tie to the rescue

got all the wood trim back in the mail today, not fixed, no note Icon_scratch guess my own lack of urgency and no badgering for the finished product is the cause of this negative result. Undecided

this car is still a prisoner of the state, because i can't seem to bring myself to lift a finger toward the retrograde op.

couple east coasters are waving around not just one but two nice looking driver's side door panels but i can't seem to get at either, due to others' flakiness and or greed. sigh

edit: in theory at least i may have procured a VGC door panel, should be here in a week or two

that kid is so cute. and the whole tribe stops in to play games, it's all very endearing and warms me so. with the dogs off the radar, the entire dynamic has changed for the better with this neighbor. all it took was a gate, some plywood and cooperation- the smiles and peace and quiet are all very real.

this custom part here chafed the lower radiator hose. i'm going to install this watercooled T3 'dry' for now just to pass and swap the wet stuff in after the "smoke clears".

RE: Brave Sir Robin
it's almost lunch and i haven't been able to get jack shit done all day, sorting through all the little problems and looking for the special hardwares. i have to make a trip all the way across town and back to get a AN-6 to Reverse Flare adapter and AN-6 to rubber line fitting, in order for the stainless fuel and return lines to attach "directly" to the rail.

i have lapped the oil return billet fitting flat and scored new gasket for it. i have hardware for it but mismatched, kitting new.

i have to make a gasket for the CBV and fit the proper hardware to it.

i have located the last downpipe . o2 used on the car and won't need to get it towed, yay!!! stock downpipe at the ready for compliance fit.

trip across town was a lost cause, place is -gone-. Undecided fuuuuuuuuuu

been a completely nonproductive day, spent mostly looking for stuff and finding everything else except for what i need. most everything is here and at the ready except for all the little show-stoppers.

i have to fit the stepped style manifold to it, just trying to locate the proper spare single-use 'expendable hardware'. gaskets are on-hand.

Suggestion... If you are talking the manifold support bracket... Slot it where the manifold attaches. That allows you to simply loosen it and slide it is, making install sooo much easier.

RE: Brave Sir Robin
I learned that trick probably 6-7 years ago when I started swapping heads and such on mine far too often. Makes a HUGE difference in being able to install everything easier, also allows you to pull the manifold and turbo very easily if you have AN lines for everything. 9 nuts, downpipe, and slide the assembly off. A bit more work with the holset, not bad with the smaller stuff like my garrett and the mitsu's.

Why Volvo didn't slot it from the beginning one will never know.
