I must agree. Go volvo or don't go home.

If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.

Fix the B28. Let it breathe. Nothing sounds like a 90* V6.
& you have a Manual trans in this thing, right?

I reckon with head work and an exhaust you'd get roughly the same out of it as you would a mildly modded B21FT.

This car has the potential to be amazing, confusing and terrifying.

i don't think ACD wants 7qts of 0-40 synthetic nor a shower of shiny aluminum bits on the track. i did however previously offer this up at one point, which as i recall it was greeted by the cricket chorus... yeah, thought so! 'cept i know mr.wolfie here isn't exactly all talk.

obvious choice is obviously obvious, but gutting what has to be one of the few running driving b28's on the west coast rates pretty damn low on my to-do scale.

RE: Black Knight
Dont gut the B28, if it runs clean it up and sell it to someone who is restoring a 7 series v6 car. As you said yourself running B28's are a rare breed.

John Lane seems to like his. Too bad California sucks for that kind of debauchery....

Maybe build one o' dem later PRVs, and stick it under the k-jets?

i think what we both saw at Davis spoke for itself.

a running, driving, low mileage 262c Coupe in flawless original gold paint (no vinyl roof), someone in our group commented about how it looked as if it had been sealed in a vacuum. just sitting there getting no love, people avoiding as if it were radioactive.

The P in PRV stands for Pariah.
Yes, that gold 262 will be buried under the mountain with all the other radioactive horrors society is ashamed of.
Reanimate yours in such a way that they will be sorry they missed the chance to get one when they had it.
It is your responsibility, nae, your calling, to strip the weight and open the throat of that 2.8.
And the brains of the forced induction camp will ice over in shame and confusion when the whine they hear is revealed to be nine yards of timing chain being chased around the cogs by K-jet.

And I get to cheat and vote again. Bahhahaha.

RE: Black Knight
this project has been stalled for awhile due to a slight turbo mismatch, yet the path forward has become quite clear

project has recently been bid for a full structural resto and is right now in sink or swim evaluation status.
