the wastegate actuator rod was never connected.

i dont have a useable cotter pin, so im looking for a paperclip haha. if i cant find one, its kinda on there now. if it falls off i'll wait til i can find sometin, been driving it without it for 5 months now.

If you can't find the right size, get thee to the hardware store, get some stainless steel wire. My previous 244 had that stuff for about 4 years.

It has been known that if two Volvos collide at any given time in this dimension then a random small car in a small Russian town will actually disintegrate and cause a rip in the fabric of space and time, this is the only known reason for athletics.

Does the actuator stud have a groove cut into it like this [Image: Chevy-Turnbuckle.jpg] or is it completely smooth? If it's got the groove, you can wire in some SS wire. It's range of motion isn't much.

Might need a dremel with a teeny bit to bore our that hole.

My 745Ti is the same (though the turbo's being replaced soon). I never bothered to fix it since the injectors are a bit shit and it ran like Hell when it really got into boost in the wrong weather. I was going to get a right-angle or flex-shaft attachment for my Dremel (these are necessary - can't get the bastard straight in; I tried) but J-B Welding a small washer or something to the end of the post, keeping the arm from sliding off, would work just as well if not better. Just going to use a piece of stainless-steel wire for the new turbo/wastegate I think. I suppose tapping it and putting a small aluminium screw through would work too, though it'd be a bitch to extract if/when it broke...
